Ed Bever is the serious half of the Bever brothers, recognised by his white apron and slightly furrowed eyebrows. Unlike his brother Willem, Ed has studied bookkeeping and takes life rather seriously. He often tries to impress Miss Stork and speaks in a posh tone – though his working-class accent still charmingly shines through.
This hand puppet can be used for play, decoration, or as a nostalgic collector’s item.

🏭 Manufacturer & Background
In 2010, Albert Heijn and SaraLee organised a loyalty campaign around De Fabeltjeskrant. With the purchase of two promotional products and a small surcharge, customers could collect one of seven exclusive hand puppets. A total of 600,000 puppets were produced in China.
The characters available were: Mister Owl (Meneer de Uil), Miss Stork (Juffrouw Ooievaar), Bor the Wolf, Gerrit the Post Pigeon, Zoef the Hare, Mister Raven, and Ed Bever.
The original voice of Ed Bever in the TV series was provided by Frans van Dusschoten.
