🛠 About the Character / Function
Bor the Wolf is a wolf with many human traits. Contrary to expectations, he is peaceful and emotional. When upset, he often retreats to the Enge Bos for calm. He is known for his signature howling roar (“huuu”) which precedes many of his statements.

Bor also owns the Dierenbosse café Het Praathuis, a central meeting place where the woodland animals gather to share news over beech nuts and a glass of grenadine. This hand puppet is ideal as a decorative piece, for play, or as a nostalgic collector’s item for fans of the series.

🏭 Manufacturer & Background
In 2010, Albert Heijn and SaraLee ran a loyalty campaign around De Fabeltjeskrant. With the purchase of two promotional products and a small surcharge, customers could collect one of seven exclusive hand puppets: Mister Owl (Meneer de Uil), Miss Stork (Juffrouw Ooievaar), Bor the Wolf, Gerrit the Post Pigeon, Zoef the Hare, Mister Raven, and Ed Bever. A total of 600,000 puppets were produced in China.

The original voice of Bor the Wolf in the series was performed by Ger Smit, who considered Bor one of his favourite Fabeltjeskrant characters. The character was created by writer Leen Valkenier, based on himself.
