About this tin:
This vintage Douwe Egberts tin dates from 1963–1965 and was produced by the Nederlandsche Vereenigde Blikfabrieken. The rectangular tin features a slightly domed hinged lid with a ten-part wraparound hinge and a small clasp at the front. Its most striking detail is the colorful abstract design of birds and flowers, created exclusively for Douwe Egberts. The side panels are white with gold line decorations, the interior is gold-colored, and the base rests on four small ball feet.
Originally, this tin was sold including a 250-gram pack of DE Roodmerk coffee for ƒ 2.48.
