The history of Douwe Egberts began in 1753 when Egbert Douwes and his wife Akke Thysses opened a "grocery store in colonial goods" in Joure. The evolution of the company was entrusted to Douwe Egberts and his wife Ymke Jacobs Visser. Known for processing coffee, tea, and tobacco, Douwe Egberts, under Douwe Egberts' leadership, grew into a leading brand.

Originally started in Joure, Douwe Egberts continued its growth, opening a second location in Utrecht in 1919. Situated on Keulsekade, this location remains the beating heart of Douwe Egberts to this day.

Immerse yourself in the nostalgic splendor of this gold-colored tea tin. More than just a functional object, it is a unique piece of history that adds a touch of charm and aesthetics to any space. It reminds us of the rich heritage of Douwe Egberts and the art of savoring the small pleasures of daily life.
