Van der Meulen – A Brief History:
Van der Meulen was founded in 1910 by Hessel van der Meulen in Ferwerd as a small artisanal biscuit bakery. The company quickly grew due to the high quality of its products. After a few years, the bakery moved to Hallum, where a purpose-built bakery under the name "De Volharding" was established. In 1997, Van der Meulen refocused on its origins, producing biscuits, rye bread, and melba toast. Today, Van der Meulen is an internationally operating company with around 120 employees.
This vintage biscuit tin is a nostalgic piece, both functional and decorative, with a rich history that reflects the quality of Van der Meulen. It is a perfect addition for collectors of vintage items or lovers of Dutch heritage.
