🏭 Manufacturer & History

Hille Steam Biscuit and Rusk Factory was founded in 1901 in Zaandam by K. Hille. The company grew into one of the Netherlands’ best-known rusk manufacturers and played an important role in popularizing rusks among Dutch households. Like its famous competitor Verkade, Hille successfully used promotional collectibles and nationwide distribution to build its brand. In 1960, the company was acquired by competitor Hooimeijer.
