About the manufacturer:
Pette was a prominent chocolate factory in Wormerveer, founded in 1872. It grew into an innovative industrial complex with several architecturally designed buildings by Mart J. Stam. Despite a thriving period employing hundreds of workers, the company was acquired by Boon in 1937, marking the end of an important chapter in Dutch chocolate history.
This cocoa tin is a fine example of early 20th-century packaging design and offers a fascinating glimpse into the industrial and cultural heritage of the Netherlands. A valuable addition for lovers of vintage packaging, chocolate history, and unique home decor.
