Manufactured by Douwe Egberts for Pickwick tea in 1954, this elongated oval tin exudes a nostalgic atmosphere. The detailed design, featuring a hinged closure lid and a prominent wave edge, is richly adorned with images of sailboats, fishermen, and idyllic waterside scenes.

This special spoon box was obtainable by collecting stamps with the purchase of Pickwick tea. The cream-colored lid displays a picturesque old town with spires, windmills, a drawbridge, and sailboats on the water. The gold-colored border and images of trees on the short sides give the box an elegant appearance. Open the smoothly moving lid with the unique pendant hinge, consisting of five smaller hinges, and discover the red fabric lining with a brown and white image on the inside.
