Rectangular green cigar tin with a hinged lid with an owl emblem with the text "Uiltje, Vooraan, La Bolsa, Kampen ..."

Description
The decoration of this cigar tin consists of a green background. The lid has an orange-red circle (moon) against which is a brown and beige image of an owl. To the left of that is the coat of arms of Kampen. On the inside of the lid is the same image in black and white. Curly lines frame the lid. These also occur on the sides of the can. The bottom and inside of the tin are silver-coloured.

Inscription on the tin, namely the lid: "UILTJE" and "Vooraan". On the back of the lid: "25 cigars Made in Holland N.V. cigar factory "La Bolsa" Kampen". On three sides of the lid: "Uiltje Vooraan".

Condition
This tin is in a vintage condition with the usual traces of use and age-related traces of wear. Photos are part of the description.

Uiltje was a Dutch cigar brand

The brand was carried by the Kamper cigar factory La Bolsa until 1965. On July 1, 1963, La Bolsa merged with Philips Tabak, producer of the Martinez cigars. Due to further mechanization and the decrease in the use of cigars, the Philips group decided in 1965 to close its least profitable factory, at that time it was the Kampense cigar factory N.V. La Bolsa. The dismissal of employees had an extension period until 1 June 1965.

A few series of cigar bindings have also been published under the Uiltje brand.
