The combination of the cream-coloured ceramic hopper, black wooden lid, metal crank and glass coffee catcher gives the grinder its distinctive nostalgic appearance.

🛠 About the Product

The coffee grinder is mounted on a wooden wall plate. The cream-coloured ceramic coffee bean hopper features the familiar red D.E. emblem, surrounded by gold-coloured rays and the word KOFFIE.

Coffee beans are ground manually using the metal crank, after which the ground coffee falls into the glass catcher below.

🏭 Manufacturer & History

PéDé was the trademark used by the German manufacturer Peter Dienes, well known for its coffee grinders and other household mills.

The history of Douwe Egberts dates back to 1753 in Joure, the Netherlands. The company became one of the best-known Dutch names in coffee and tea and later introduced its successful loyalty points programme, through which customers could obtain a variety of household and gift items.
