Each clown consists of six puzzle pieces, marked with one to six dice dots. Players take turns rolling the die and try to collect the corresponding pieces needed to complete their clown. The first player to assemble a complete clown wins the game.

The history of Hausemann & Hötte dates back to 1853, while the company itself was established in 1882. From around 1930, toys and games were sold under the Jumbo brand, recognisable by its famous elephant logo. In 1978, during its 125th anniversary year, Hausemann & Hötte was granted the Dutch Royal designation.
