🏭 Manufacturer & History

ARK was founded in 1920 as a traditional Dutch bakery producing rusks and gingerbread. In 1931, Gerrit Jan and Martinus Johan van Ark opened a modern factory on the Zwolseweg in the Netherlands. From 1938 onwards, the company expanded its range to include biscuits and cookies, which were sold through bakeries and grocery stores across the country. ARK became especially well known in the Dutch provinces of Overijssel, Zeeland, and South Holland. In 1975, the company was acquired by Bolletje, after which the popular ARK products became part of the Bolletje range.
