This rectangular tin was originally used for storing gingerbread (“ontbijtkoek”). It features rolled edges, a folded side seam, and a loose-fitting lid.

The exterior has a white base with stylized floral and leaf motifs in pink, green, and brown. Decorative bees and a beehive are illustrated on the sides, adding a warm and nostalgic touch.

The bottom and interior are finished in a gold tone. One side is marked with the text: Koninklijke Verkade fabrieken N.V. Zaandam – Holland.
