🛠 About the product / Function
The Infraphil KL2901 was originally designed for therapeutic heat applications and was recommended by Philips for conditions such as muscle pain, bruises, and inflammation.
Thanks to its open and user-friendly construction, the bulb is easy to replace. In addition to infrared use, a mixed-light bulb for ultraviolet treatment could also be used. The socket holder is made of bakelite – characteristic of the post-war period.
The design is not only functional but also aesthetically strong: a striking example of Dutch design that fits perfectly in any retro interior.
🏭 Manufacturer & history
Produced by Philips (Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.), Infraphil was the product line name for Philips heat lamps intended for home use.
