This distinctive tin, also known as the “Uiltje,” is a classic example of vintage Dutch cigar packaging. The tin features a lightly clouded beige background with orange accents and depicts an owl against the backdrop of a large full moon. On the left side, the brand name ‘Uiltje’ appears beneath the Kampen coat of arms, along with the product name Luna. The tin has a separate slip-on lid and rests on three rounded, half-spherical feet molded into the base. The text on the back confirms its origin: ‘25 cigars made in Holland n/v sigarenfabriek "La Bolsa" kampen.’

Due to mechanization and changing smoking habits, Philips decided in 1965 to close the less profitable Kampen factory. This tin is thus a tangible piece of Dutch tobacco history.
