Brocante Coleman Canada 300 series blowtorch from the 1950s

  • Manufacturer: Coleman
  • Date of manufacture: 1950s

Description
1950s Coleman Canada 300 series blowtorch made by Butler Stampings in Ontario Canada. The 300 series torches are typified by the large bakelite fuel control knob and heavy steel fuel tanks. Earlier 90, 100 and 200 series torches have brass tanks and metal fuel knobs. All the Coleman models seen have clear coated unpainted wooden handles and a fragile water slide decal which is often missing.

These torches mainly show up in Canada but are occasionally seen on auction sites in the UK so would have been exported at least there as well.  The front image is the surviving Coleman decal.

Condition
This old blowtorch is in a vintage condition with traces of use and age-related traces of wear. Photos are part of the description.
