🛠 About the rusk tin
The cylindrical tin has an overlapping lid and rolled edges. The seams and base are folded, while the lid is made without a visible seam.
Its most striking feature is the elaborate embossed decoration. Framed scenes depicting people in 19th-century dress alternate with decorative floral and foliage motifs around the tin. The Dutch word “BESCHUIT” is also prominently embossed on the surface.

The manufacturer is currently unknown. The tin is of Dutch origin. Deventer Verhaal dates a corresponding example in its collection to 1920–1970.
