About this Pecco Tea Cube:
This charming square tea cube was specially designed for Niemeijer Orange Pecco Tea and reflects the elegant style of mid-20th-century Dutch craftsmanship. Produced by the Nederlandsche Vereenigde Blikfabrieken N.V., better known as Verblifa, the leading manufacturer of tin packaging in the Netherlands at the time.
The hinged lid keeps tea fresh, while the embossed Oriental scenes immediately catch the eye. Warm red and gold details on the cream base, along with decorative corner motifs, give the tin a luxurious appearance.
The lid features an Oriental symbol for prosperity and good fortune. The text, in both Dutch and English, reads Niemeijer Oranje Pecco Thee / Orange Pekoe Tea (227 grams), with the brand names TH. Niemeyer N.V. Groningen and TH. Niemeyer LTD. Holland.
